West Albany High School held its first Cultural Celebration Day on May 18! While WAHS has held a variety of cultural events in the past, this celebration was initiated and planned by student leaders, and focused on providing information about a variety of cultures represented throughout our student body through music, games, speakers, interactive activities, and more!
Students had the opportunity to watch the Woodburn High School mariachi band, a performance of charrería (roping and horsemanship), a spoken word performance, and a motivational speaker. They participated in an informational fair, where student club members shared information, food, music and more. We’d like to thank all of the organizations and performers who made today possible.

¡West Albany High School llevó a cabo su primer Día de celebración cultural el 18 de mayo! Aunque WAHS ha celebrado una variedad de eventos culturales en el pasado, esta celebración fue iniciada y planificada por los estudiantes líderes, y se centró en proporcionar información sobre una variedad de culturas representadas en todo nuestro cuerpo estudiantil a través de música, juegos, discursos, actividades interactivas, ¡y mucho más!
Los estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad de ver a los mariachis de Woodburn High School, una actuación de charrería, una presentación hablada y un presentador motivador. Participaron en una feria informativa, donde los miembros de los clubs de estudiantes compartieron información, comida, música y mucho más.
